Kristin McFarland has a Master of Arts in Journalism from Indiana University, which launched her on a short-lived but exciting career as a newspaper reporter. She has worked for five different newspapers around the country, writing about politics, crime, and more. She eventually decided that making up political fights and crime scenes would be more fun than reporting on real ones. Today she lives in southern Indiana with her husband, three cats, a rabbit, and a bearded dragon. She spends her free time riding her horse, playing with yarn, and acting as dungeon master for an all-female Dungeons & Dragons group.
Her first novel mystery novel, NO SAVING THROW (Diversion Books). features Autumn Sinclair, a humble game store owner, who finds herself investigating the murder of a LARPer whose death spells catastrophe for the store and the gamers who knew him.
